Thomas (Tommy) Glen Brewster of Abilene went to meet his Lord, Saturday November 25, 2017. He was born to Wanda Brown and Dale Brewster January 7, 1947. He married Rose Shultz October 23, 1975 in Lovington NM. Tommy was a Navy Veteran serving for seven years in Vietnam. After leaving the military he worked for many years in the oil field in the Abilene and Wichita Falls area, and then for the US Postal Service here in Abilene where he retired. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Jordan; stepfather, Odis Jordan; sister, Glenda Brewster; daughter, Stacy Brewster; and granddaughter, Stormy Brewster. He is survived by Rose Brewster of Clyde; his father, Dale Brewster of Graham; one brother, Ricky Brewster of Graham; two sisters, Ruby Reeder and Reba Jordan of Hawley; sons, Dwayne Brewster and wife, Jodie of Abilene, Josh Brewster and wife, Jennifer of Sanger, and Tom Smith of Hawley; one granddaughter, Cheyenne Brewster of Sanger; three grandsons, Dakota Brewster of Clyde, Aaron Brewster of Coleman and Brennan Brewster of Abilene; one great-grandson, Wesley Brewster of Clyde; and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy was friend to all he met and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm on December 1, 2017 with graveside services at Central Cemetery in Hawley, Texas at 10:00am on December 2, 2017.
