Elsie Caroline Stettler, 95, passed away November 27, 2017, in Berkshire Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell S. Stettler.
Elsie was born in Lehighton, on January 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Alvin P. Jr. and Caroline (Wist) Gunkel.
She was employed by RK Knitting Mills in Reading as a turner for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Elsie was an avid bingo player and she loved her grandchildren. She was very independent and sassy.
She is survived by her 2 sons, George A., and his wife, Judy Stettler, of Reading; Edwin R., and his wife Mary Stettler, of Womelsdorf; her daughter, Mary Stettler of N.Y.; her sister, Margaret Lush, of Lehighton; 2 grandsons, Steven Stettler and Shane Stettler; 3 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Elsie was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Stettler and her brother, Edward Gunkel.
Services will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Wednesday 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
