Betty Denby Stacey, 85, of Gambrills, MD, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2017, surrounded by family after an extended illness.
Betty graduated from Riverside Hospital School of Nursing in Newport News, VA in 1952 and dedicated her life to caring for family and helping others at various pediatric nursing facilities in VA and MD until her retirement. She retired as a pediatric nurse from Medstar Habor Hospital in 1997.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Dr Robert E Stacey; 5 children, son David Stacey, daughters Deborah Bargas-McCawley, Wanda Jackowski, Sharon Conrad and Lorie Still, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Diane Narron, Carolyn Werner and Pamela Dragon.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at John M Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at John M Taylor Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Hospice of the Chesapeake 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena MD.
