Richard "Rick" Joseph Davis, III passed away on November 30, 2017 at the age of 48. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his son Jordan T. Davis; mother, Glenda Ann Copeland; sisters, Dawn D. Lemoine and D'Ann D. Guidry (Shannon); niece, Cassie "Queenie" (Bryan); nephews, Davyn, Deryn and Dawson and his great nephew, Cole. He is preceded in death by his father Richard J. Davis, Jr., his son Dylan J. Davis and Dylan's mother, Karen Neumann, his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. H.J. Hymel and Mr. & Mrs. Richard J. Davis, Sr. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.


Rick enjoyed the simpler things in life. He loved to shoot pool, play darts and hanging out with friends. He also enjoyed being outdoors in his garden and fishing.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park
