Tammy Lynne (Matysiak) Howard was born on December 2nd, 1960 to Louis "Shack" Matysiak and Esther "Doll" Matysiak. She resided in La Porte, Texas for most of her life. She graduated with honors from La Porte High School in 1979. She was an active member of the La Porte High School Band and was an All-Region clarinetist. Upon graduation she attended San Jacinto College and earned an associates degree in business. She went to work for the Exxon Oil Company in downtown Houston in the tax department. She worked there for fifteen years before retiring due to Multiple Sclerosis. She was married to Jeffrey Howard from 1983 until his death in 2015. She is survived by her brother Larry Matysiak, sister in-law Mary Matysiak, nephew John Matysiak, niece Laura Yoakum, grand nieces Charlotte Yoakum, Jamie Yoakum, Mia Matysiak and grand nephew Mason Matysiak. In addition, she is also survived by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Matysiak (Uncle and Aunt) as well as many caring cousins. Tammy was also an artist and exceled in making crafts and flower arrangements. She passed away due to complications from non-remitting Multiple Sclerosis, a disease she had fought since being diagnosed at age twenty-one. The family wishes to thank all friends and relatives who have given their love and support though Tammy's life. A special thank you goes to Lisa Martinez and Debra Widener, childhood friends who stood by Tammy her entire life and Nancy and Leroy Merrick (cousins). Thanks also to JoAnn Jones, Karen Morgan and the caregivers at Tender Touch Senior Services. Our family is in all your debt.

We used to hangout back in elementary school...went to the movies at Lp theater, sweet and kind Tammy from 1s grade to graduation in '79. It was a pleasure being your friend.
