Anna was such a dedicated and devoted union member. She could inspire those who didn't feel a union membership was important. People joined once Anna had their ear ! She was a very thoughtful person and kind. In the beginning of 2017 she called me to find out how my family was doing. We exchanged Christmas cards but didn't have much of a chance to talk. Her phone call made me smile. She will be missed.

Ann was a wonderful person and became my mentor at CWA Local 1023. She was a fierce fighter of workers rights and taught us the importance of doing the right thing for the membership. She was always out front on every picket line, demonstration, and labor rallies. For many she was their voice and proud to do so. She loved Sicily, cooking, and if you were fortunate enough to have her cooking you were truly blessed. Her family was most important to her and we felt as though we knew them through her. Thank you Ann for your guidance over these many years I was so lucky to have know you and be a friend. Your have left a big imprint here in our world and your light will always shine bright wherever you are in the here after.
Be at peace Dear Ann,

Aunt Annie will truly be missed by our family and her many friends in Toms River and West Orange, NJ. She loved the art of conversation, everything Italian and reading through stacks of books and magazines. I will truly miss our phone calls and reminiscing about past family times. I know God has welcomed you into heaven with open arms; enjoy the glory of His presence and His peace. Until we meet again.... Love you!

Aunt Annie was born in West Orange, NJ, in a house on Fairview Avenue in 1930. She lived in W.O. until 1994 after retiring from The Phone Company. She just celebrated her 87th birthday. Her youngest sister Mary and brother-in-law Greg, as well as many nieces and a few nephews will remember her well.
She was known for her outspoken dedication to the membership of the Communication Workers of America Union Local 1023, Cranford, NJ for more than 30 years. She served as local president for 20 years. She worked at NJ Bell telephone for 42 years as a customer service representative.
Her favorite place was Sicily, the land of her parents' birth. She enjoyed many vacations there with relatives. She insisted on returning there for a farewell visit 4 years ago despite poor health. It was the one place she was truly happy.
She was a dedicated caretaker of her mother. She remembered everyone's birthdays and anniversaries with a card. She often invited a neighbor who had nowhere else to go for a holiday dinner. She never ceased giving her opinions and contributing to an argument. Thank you, thank you.
Peace is with you, finally.
