I met John while working at RRAD.. It was an honor and privilege to have known and been friends with this man and fellow law enforcement brother.

John was a calm guy with a very dry type of humor when I worked with him in the 1980's at TAPD. I always enjoyed working the same shift with him. My prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time, may God comfort you.

I had the pleasure of working with and having John as a good friend in my early years as a police officer, a good man who will be missed by all.

I started my career with Texarkana Police Department in 1983 and John was was a true mentor to this young officer at the time. There are no words for the loss of John except he guided me through times on the street at that time. God Bless your family in these troubled times and he will be never be forgotten.
