Stanley Joseph Rapacki 93, husband of 54 years to the late Angela (Mastroluca) Rapacki and resident of Westbrook, CT. for 48 years, passed away at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Old Saybrook , CT on December 6th, 2017. He was born September 29, 1924 to the late Wallace and Pelagia "Paula" (Neski) Rapacki in Suffield, CT. He was a Sergeant of the United States Army Air Corps as an Airplane Electrical Mechanic for the 2nd Army Air Force Base Unit Headquarters Squadron. He attended Suffield High School graduating class of 1942, Prince Tech earning a certificate in Heating and Cooling, attended the State of Connecticut Police Academy, the University of Connecticut Institute for public services for the class of 1981, as well as the Institute for Zoning Enforcement Officers. Stanley was employed by the Hanson Whitney Corporation in Hartford, CT as a Foreman, the Colt Firearms Company as a Lathe Operator, was a treasurer and zoning enforcement officer for the town of Westbrook. He was also owned a gas station and Century Oil in West Hartford, CT. Furthermore he volunteered for the Auxiliary State Troopers, the Westbrook Zoning Board of Appeals, and many other boards and commissions for the town of Westbrook. He was an active member of the National Polish Home in Hartford, the West Hartford Elks Club, and was extremely proud of his years of service in the Westbrook Elks Club for 47 years. He was also a founding member of St. Marks Parish in Westbrook. He was happily married his wife Angela Mastroluca Rapacki for 54 years and they made their home in Westbrook. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his son Robert Labriola Sr. and Robert's wife Joanne who lovingly cared for Stanley for many years. As well as his daughter Laura Rapacki all of Westbrook, CT. As well as eight Grandchildren, eighteen Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his siblings Walter and Charles Rapacki, Virginia Rodean, Helen Budka, and Jean Crosier. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday December 13th, 2017 beginning from 9:30 to 10:30 at Swan Funeral Home 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook, CT. 06475 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark's Church 222 McVeagh Rd. Westbrook, CT. 06498 at 11am.
