Brantley James Dobbs, age 6, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Brantley was born on January 5, 2011 in Austell, Georgia, a son to Brandon Dobbs and Jamie Ott Dobbs.
The impact Brantley made during his life touched not only those closest to him but extraordinarily touched the world. His infectious laugh and beautiful smile captured hearts in an unforgettable way. Spiderman was his personal hero but Brantley was a hero to many. He loved to eat at the Waffle House, swim in the pool, and play with his sister Lucy. To describe the life of Brantley Dobbs in words would simply be impossible, however to sum it up, he was the pictures of bravery with a heart that could wrap around the world. Brantley was a very loved little boy and will be more than missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brantley is survived by his parents, Brandon and Jamie Dobbs; his sister, Lucy Dobbs; paternal grandparents, Mike and Denise Dobbs; maternal grandparents Debbie and Jim Ott; aunts and uncle, Olivia Dobbs, Graham Dobbs, Morgan Ott and Valerie; paternal grandmother, Delisa Burch; and several extended family members and friends also survive.
On Friday, January 5, 2018, Brantley would have celebrated his seventh birthday. In honor of our Hero's Birthday, along with the family Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home will be hosting A Birthday Memorial Gathering on Friday, January 5, 2018 from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven at the 1890 Farmhouse of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Parkway Kennesaw, GA 30152.

My daughter, Lucy, was Brantley's classmate & friend. She loves Brantley. She prayed for him every day and still prays for God to take care of him and be with his family. I knew Brantley to be a happy boy. He loved and enjoyed life and the people around him. His life touched many lives with his love and his faith in God. Brantley was very special. I know he made Lucy feel special. Brantley will be deeply missed, but I am so thankful that I get to see him again one day in heaven. I thank God for this gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus. Brantley knew this gift and received it! Lord, please bless Brantley's family. Wrap your loving arms around them that they would feel Your comfort, Your peace, and Your presence. Thank You, Father. Amen.

Our daughter Lucy Grace Hobbs was a friend and classmate of Brantley, she loves him and still keeps him in our nightly prayers. One memory that stands out for me is when I picked up my kids early one afternoon. Mrs. Baxter sent Brantley to walk Lucy to the front for me. When I saw them, Brantley was wearing his Spider Man hoodie and I believe the hood was up. As they approached, Brantley looked very serious and straight at me as he said "why does Lucy have to go home"? He wasn't playing around so I was compelled to give him my best, serious answer. It was a really cool moment that I won't forget. Lucy's Dad

Brantley was an inspiration to me as I followed his story. Remember God placed him in our lives for a purpose. He has touched lives around the world and we are forever greatful. He fulfilled his purpose on earth and was ready to go home. May God be with your family and especially LUCY.

One thing I know is that you were so loved by your family, I feel so sad you did not get to live longer on earth, but I know you are in a safe place where there is no pain and I know our heavenly father is there with you. Dear Brantley Dobbs Family and Friends,
Just this past Tuesday, I read about your Brantley on Facebook. I was so moved by his Bravery, and his upbeat personality. He was a tough little guy. He was an inspiration. Last night I went shopping for a Christmas Ornament to send him for his collection. I lost the address to the Hospice in Atlanta and just now got on line to get it. I'm so saddened by his passing. God was ready to bring this Angel home. Now, Brantley be celebrating Christmas with Jesus Himself. I cannot imagine how much you will miss Brantley. I will pray for God to wrap his comfort and loving arms around you all at this difficult time.
In prayer, I asked my Mom, Dad and Brother to welcome Brantley to Heaven and watch after him. My Brother was so fun, so he will be a great big brother for Brantley and I couldn't ask for a better Mom and Dad. I've been so blessed to have them, just like Brantley has been so blessed with you all.
My prayers continue for you all and your sweet boy
