Paul Manuel Hernandez called into paradise on Saturday, December 2, 2017. There is no denying, that God sent us Paul to become his parents and he quickly changed and ended our days of loneliness. He filled our lives with many blessings.
Paul was born in El Paso, Texas and became our son when he was only three days old . He was the first baby baptized at Sts. Simon & Jude Cathedral in the new Baptismal Church Ritual. He loved life, as well as, everyone and everything around him. He was full of life, joy and happiness and had an unending willingness to help everyone. Paul always said to us, "I love you Mom" and "I love you Dad". Mickey Mouse was his favorite cartoon character and he could imitate him exactly. Paul also liked the holidays. On St. Patrick's Day he was as Irish as any Irish could be; as was the same on on each holiday; he personified the holiday theme or dish, that was being served, making Western music his main priority.
From his early years in school all the kids loved him and looked up to him because he was usually bigger than some of their parents. One day when he was in fourth or fifth grade he saw me writing some letters and asked me, "Who are you writing to Dad?" So I said that I was writing to some friends and also some business letters. So one Sunday morning at Mass, when it was time for the priest to read the Gospel, the priest began by saying "a Letter from Paul to the Corinthians".... Paul heard this and in a loud voice said "Daddy, that's your letter." People around him enjoyed a little humor that Sunday morning in Mass.
Lord you gave us a wonderful son and now you have taken him back, may he rest in peace.
Paul is survived by his father Paul and mother Antoinette and brother Mark, cousins Derrick Hernandez, John Hernandez, Tony (Mary) Hernandez, Vallery Hernandez, Arthur (Mary) Hernandez, Frank Beltrair, Dan (Vanessa ) Gosett, Vance (Mary) Hernandez, Lucinda Rodrequez , Sylvia Pratt and daughter, uncle David Hernandez, aunt Marie Hernandez, Joe (Linda) Hernandez, Joe (Linda) Hernandez, Sara Hernandez and Susan (Bob ) Telloue.

Paul had to be one of the purest warmest souls I've ever known. Paul is the epiphany of humility, mirrored the love, grace, compassion of Jesus Christ. Paul is a rarity in this blistered broken world. My heart heavily grieves for Paul, Antoinette and Marc.

Paul, Toni and Mark, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Paul was always a special child and grew to a kind and gentle man. I remember all the years we lived next door to you and Paul was always a happy person who could brighten my day with his smile and "Hello Mrs. Tucker." He always had a hundred and one questions and always waited patiently for the answers. He was a joy to know.

Paul was my neighbor. I'm going to miss his smiling face and kind words. He was the happiest person I have known, and always was a help to his family.

I am so heartbroken to hear about Paul's passing. I knew Paul as I work in downtown Glendale and Paul often visited us at ZolaBell's Vintage Market for years. Paul was always a pleasure to see. He loved Pop Culture and buying his Mother pretty necklaces. He surely was a wonderful person. The kind of person who spreads his kindness to all. He will be missed by all in Downtown Glendale. God surely has special plans for Paul, a
Kind and Gentle Giant. My deepest sympathy to his Mother, Father and Family.
Sincerely, Carol Kelly
