Goldie Mae Reed, age 91, of Colleyville, Texas passed away on Saturday December 9, 2017. Goldie was born October 27, 1926 in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, followed by the Graveside Service in Moore Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm.
Goldie was born on October 27, 1926 in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Elsie Metcalf and Odis James Marler.
She was an amazingly selfless and giving woman. She would always think of everyone's needs and would provide for them generously. She loved everyone she ever met, and they loved her back.
In her spare time, she loved sewing and baking. She was a spunky woman who lit up the room and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ethel, Frone, Patsy, Odie and Arthur.
Survivors: Her husband of 72 years, Hubert G, Reed; daughter Melinda Butler (Sy Schlager) and son Gary Reed (Sherill); grandchildren Cameron Butler (Gizelle), Cameron Schlager and Jason Reed; great-grandchildren Chloe Butler, Rhett Butler, Lucian Butler and Lili Butler; and her sister Ann Pearce.

Melinda, I remind you of this story over and over again, but I will never forget the trip to Target with Goldie after your surgery to get the perfect pot so she could make your favorite soup. You are an amazing daughter and that is a tribute to Goldie's love for you.
