Mrs. Geraldine Canary Whatley, age 94 of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 9, 2017. She was born in Riverside, Georgia to the late Clarence Everett and Katie Ann Lowe Canary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John Roy Whatley, her son John Roy Whatley, Jr., her brother, Jack H. Canary and a son in law, Robert Slauson. She was a graduate of Russell High School and was a member of Kelley Presbyterian Church. She was retired from the Henry County Health Department. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra W. (Danny) Brown of McDonough and Myra W. Slauson of Woodstock; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Friends may visit the family Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM at the Kelley Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Lance Wade officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Kelley Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Whatley.
