DENBY, Patricia Ann, 78, of Glen Allen, Va., gained her heavenly angel wings on Friday, December 8, 2017. Pat was a devoted wife to her husband of 58 years, Berkley "Nooney" Denby. Also left to cherish her beautiful memory are her children, Sherri Denby Lutz, Tommy Denby (Sherry), Chris Denby (Nancy Covington), Terri Denby (Fred Cain); and a special niece, Kim Self Estep. Missing their beloved "Nanny" are her grandchildren, Charles "C.E." Lutz, Kristen Lutz Bond, Christopher Denby, Jake Denby, Grace Denby, Amanda Cain; and her great-granddaughter, Madyson Bond. Also surviving her are a nephew, George Self; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Olta McCarthy; sister, Joan Self; and son-in-law, Charles "Skeeter" Lutz.
A bookkeeper by trade, Pat loved finding treasures at yard sales, growing beautiful flowers in her yard and "running the roads," as her husband always called it.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229, where her funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jim Booth, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 14. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
We will miss her gentle and kind soul, beautiful smile and her LOVE. "She is more precious than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with her." -Proverbs 3:15.

Dearest Sherri and Family, my deepest heart felt sympathy and prayers go out to all of you. I am so very sorry to hear of your recent losses. I have many fond memories of times spent at your house. Sherri, your Mother packed THE BEST brown bag lunches for us to take to school. The bag was always packed to FULL capacity with everything a child would enjoy! I remember when your Dad managed the slot car track at Brook Hill Azalea. Sherri I will always count you among my dearest friends. To think how we have known each other since elementary school! Honestly it seems almost like yesterday. I know the love and strength of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will sustain you through these most difficult times. Oh and YES I still love Donny Osmond! I am blessed to have known your Mom. Patricia was an absolute jewel. Your parents always made me feel special and welcome in their home. May God bless each and everyone of you and give you peace. ❤ sympathy and prayers to all of you. JODY

Sherri, so sorry for your loss, I remember your mother from when I worked at the bank at staples mill, she was very sweet and kind,
and when you first go married and how sweet she was with my daughter Michelle as your flower girl .
