Edward L. Blinn, age 77 of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of Versailles passed away at 8:51 AM Monday December 11, 2017 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Cincinnati, Ohio. Ed was born February 19, 1940 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Andy J. and Lucille (Fahnestock) Blinn.
Ed was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a Business Administration Degree and following graduation was employed with the Duriron Company of Dayton. After that employment he started his own trucking company known as Ed Blinn Inc. which he owned and operated from 1974 until 1986. Lastly he worked in the shipping department at GTI in Greenville, where he finally retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Jerry Blinn.
Ed is survived by his wife Judy (Zimmers) Blinn of Greenville. They were married March 4, 1960. Also children Debra Blinn Pinson of Acworth, Ga. and Chuck (Dina) Blinn of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Tyler Pinson, Kathryn Blinn and Zachary Blinn; brother Larry Blinn of Gettysburg; in laws John and Linda Keller and Neil Zimmers; niece Amy Kaufman, as well as nephews John J. Keller and John Blinn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday December 14, 2017 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Bob Bitner officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
