Mrs. Ruby Beall Oliver passed away December 11, 2017, in Nacogdoches, Texas, at the age of 82.
Mrs. Oliver was born January 4, 1935 in Rusk County, Texas to parents Andrew Jackson Davis and Jessie Beatrice O'Neal Davis. Ruby retired from Nacogdoches Memorial after 36 years of dedicated service. She loved her family and being around people, most people just called her Mama or Granny. Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed flowers, fishing, and crafts.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Davis, Bill Davis, AJ Whitten, Jessie Whitten, and Norman Whitten; sister, Nita Odom; granddaughter, Ruby Leann Carroll; daughter, Martha Barnett; sons, Billy Beall and Bobby Beall; father of her children, Orbon Beall.
Her survivors include: daughters, Kay Smith and husband Coy, Gladys Rudisill and husband Fred, and Beatrice Copeland and husband Lonnie; sons, Jerry Beall and wife Mary and Andy Beall and wife Gwen; brothers, Joe Whitten and wife Shirley and Curt Whitten and wife Julie; sisters, Joyce Dorsett; special granddaughter, Catherine Vick; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
Services are set for 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Rev. Sonny Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Gravel Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
Pallbearers: Shane Rodgers, Michel Ray, Mitchell Ray, Drew Beall, Cassey Beall, Kevin Pitts, James Copeland, Josh Beall, and Andrew Humphrey. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Humphrey, Jeremiah Barnard, and Daniel Murray.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
