I spent only part of one day with Eda, but she made a deep impression on me, and we had corresponded several times in the last five years. I am writing a biography of an immigrant who worked on the Washburn farm in the 1850s, and Eda was a fount of information on the Washburns and the Minot area. She showed me the church, the cemetery, and the surrounding area, all with a fascinating commentary. I will always be grateful for her help.

Eda was a wonderful friend that I truly loved working with. She was a very hard worker and we had a lot of fun together. I want to thank her family for sending me her obit as I had not heard from her for a long time. The last time I spoke to her she was very sick but very strong in her desire to keep on going and finish things she had started. All my love to the family. Thanks for taking care of her so well. She loved you all. She will be missed. Connie and Steve Wood
