Rebecca Lee Hardy, 104, of Deer Park, passed away December 11, 2017. She was born in Slocum, Texas on April 3, 1913 to Willie Ora Averitte and Floyd W. Averitte. She was married to J.C. Hardy for 61 years. Rebecca worked in sales for J.C. Penny and had a passion for quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hardy; daughter, Lois Wilson; grandson, Bryan Hardy; and 10 siblings.
She is survived by her son, Clayton Hardy and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Steve Wilson and wife Sandy, Becky Collins and husband Bill, Debbie Langford and husband Paddy, Blaine Hardy and wife Ginger, and Brad Hardy and wife Kristi; 15 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Ginger Hardy

She was one of the sweetest people I have known. Her love for God and others was so evident. She was a giving person and made a wonderful impression on others. May her legacy live on as she would want others to know about her wonderful saviour Jesus Christ. Love you Granny.
