Funeral service for James H. "Jimmy" Smith, 76 is set for 11:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kara Blackard and Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jimmy died December 13, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born October 1, 1941 in Alcorn Co. to the late Ray and Ruth Smith. He was member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. He attended Kossuth High School, He was owner of Smith Ornamental Iron since 1970. He enjoyed deer hunting and shooting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Arnold and Dovie Marsh; father-in-law Herman Driver.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Carolyn Smith; son Bryan Smith; sister Marsha Whitehead.
Pallbearers Jimmy Gurley, Joey Spencer, Morris Crum, Keith Settlemires, Ricky Berry, Allen Lyles.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Friday from 10:00 to service time.
