Eva Marina Trevino (age 52) fell asleep in death on December 13th, 2017. She was born on July 28, 1965, in New Braunfels, Texas. Eva was born with Spina Bifida, which hindered her ability to walk and caused many other medical problems associated with this condition. She bravely endured dozens of surgeries throughout her life. Despite her disability, she always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She was known to be a loving and beautiful woman always wanting to please others.
Eva married Joe Luis Trevino in 1987. A few years later, they were able to enlarge their family by adopting Joe Michael and Loisa. Their addition to her family was one of the happiest events of her life. Eva was especially close to her granddaughter Emma, with whom she shared a very special bond. We are especially grateful to her husband and children for lovingly caring for all of Eva's needs all these years.
Eva had a love for the Bible as well as a love for Jehovah. She symbolized her dedication to Jehovah when she was baptized in 1982. She took part in the field ministry and other aspects of spiritual life in Jehovah's organization until her health deteriorated to a point where she could no longer work or pursue a normal life. Eva especially looked forward to the resurrection hope in paradise earth where she will be able to walk for the first time without her braces and crutches. She always dreamed of wearing high heels and dancing.
During the last five years of her life, she endured much suffering and pain. She spent most of her time in and out of hospitals and healthcare facilities. Fortunately, during the last two weeks of her life, she was able to enjoy the comforts of her home and was cared for by her family.
Eva leaves behind her beloved family: husband, Joe; children, Loisa Wilcox (Josh) and Joe Michael Trevino; her most precious granddaughter, Emma Sofia Wilcox; her parents, Angie and Bill Quirós; and her siblings, Cristina Rocha (Tim) and Raúl Quirós (Nicole), as well as numerous other relatives.
