Edward H. Kartes, 92, passed away December 16, 2017. He was born June 19, 1925 in Brackettville, TX. Edward served in the U.S. Army in WWII and Korea. Edward married Eula in 1952. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and University of Texas sports fan. Edward was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, TX. He was also a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Eula Kartes; daughters, Linda Burns and husband, Robert, Susan Rhein and husband, Clint;p grandchildren, Clint Burns, Lisa Williams, Brian Hohman, Daniel Rhein, Shannon Pope and Josh Rhein; great grandchildren, Kyley, Ella, Audrey, Ethan, Lyandon, Avery, Josh, and Briana. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The American Kidney Foundation.
