On December 2, 2017, the matriarch of our family our beloved Aunt Muriel Cameron passed peacefully in her sleep at 4:16 a.m. at 96 years of age. She will be missed by many but none so much as her family. We loved her spunkiness and very distinct laugh.
Growing up around Aunt Muriel was easily a lesson in candor; once you ask for her opinion or advice be prepared because she was blatantly honest and not afraid to speak her mind. We believe that was the secret to her longevity - speak what's on your mind and hold nothing inside. If you were not strong in character you might be offended but if you were you learned to appreciate her demeanor and honesty. She was sharp in mind always even at 96 years and could carry herself in any golf conversation and give you stats on her favorite players.
She was married 64 years to Douglas Cameron and raised their son Donald Cameron who both passed before her. She said recently, "I'm 96 years old...thats a long time!"
Enjoy your new found freedom with Uncle Doug, son, and other family!
Aloha and until we meet again, "Rest in Love"!
