Deborah Kay Sweet Green was born on July 10, 1956, in Dallas, Texas to the late Tom and Erma Poole Sweet. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Esau and Ella V. (Gaddis) Sweet. Her maternal grandparents were Joe Eddie and Bobbie (Myers) Poole. Her brother Tracy Glen Sweet also preceded her in death.

Deborah was educated in the Dallas ISD where she excelled in her studies, and also played the clarinet. She is a 1974 graduate of David W. Carter High School. She went on to study business and worked for the State of Texas (Health and Human Services). Later she obtained her cosmetology license and ended her career doing what she loved most, caring for children at Pace and Ross Daycare Center. In 1978, she met and married the love of her life, the late Ben Green, Sr. Deborah was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord & Savior.

Her proudest moments were spent raising her two sons, Eric & Ben, and loving and caring for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her loyalty to those she loved. Deborah was especially close to her mother building a bond that would last a lifetime.
