A generous and graceful lady, Beverly A. Richmond 78, of Branch Road, Keene, NH passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 with her loved ones at her side, at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchchock, Keene, following a courageous and tenacious battle with cancer.
She was born in Unity, NH on July 8, 1939, the daughter of William and Katherine (Muzzy) Brown, and was raised in Newport, NH by her grandparents, Gilbert "Buster" and Elsie Brown.
Beverly's compassionate heart and generosity extended to the community she resided in as the co-founder of the Project Share Thrift Store in Keene which she operated for over 50 years.
Beverly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Her skilled hands created crafts of all kinds, especially her beautiful crocheted pieces. She was especially well known in the area for her beautiful flower gardens at her home which she maintained with immense pride, as well as the wonderful holiday decorations she loved displaying during every season, especially on Halloween and Christmas. She took extraordinary pride in her home, both on the outside as well as the inside; designing, renovating, and decorating every aspect of the property she dreamed of and hand drew as a child to create the house of her dreams. Her favorite pastime however, was the special memories she created with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be profoundly missed by many, community and family alike, and especially her husband of 61 years, Richard "Dick" W. Richmond, Sr. of Keene; her children, Ron W. Richmond of Belmont NH and his partner Betty Issac, Randy W. Richmond and his wife, Kimberly, of Gilsum NH, Rod Richmond and his wife, Peg of Swanzey, NH, Tammy Catozzi and her partner, Louie Murray, of Swanzey; eight grandchildren, Christopher Richmond, Keith Richmond, Jessica Richmond, Amanda Richmond, Rebecca Copeland, Timothy Richmond, Eric Catozzi, and Stephanie Catozzi; eight great-grandchildren, a brother, Donald Brown of Georgia Center, VT; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Richmond of Keene; a dear friend Jason Thompson of Spofford NH, and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by a son, Richard W. Richmond, Jr. in 2008; and a son-in-law, John Catozzi in 1990.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Burial will follow in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Beverly's memory to the Kingsbury Pavilion for Cancer Care, Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock, 580 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431.

Aunt Bev, you will be missed. From the searching and the talks about the family tree to exchanging patterns for crochet items, now who will continue on? I will think of you with every item I make and whenever I continue searching for more branches on the family tree. Rest, be at peace and know you were loved.
Love Vicki

To a Wonderful Lady.. Thank you for your friendship, and welcoming me into your home like family. As the days, months and years went by, our friendship grew stronger and closer. I will never forgot the sound of your laughter and witty sense of humor. You were a one-of -kind special Lady. I wish I could have done more... Thank you for making me part of your life and sharing your precious memories. And allowing me to appreciate the beauty you and your husband Dick created throughout your landscape along the rivers edge. Rest in Peace, my dear friend Bev..
