Alyce E. Nunes passed away unexpectedly in Brentwood, CA on December 5th at the age of 91. She was recently preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years Antone J. "Tony " Nunes. Her parents Frank and Casimira Weeks were a pioneer family of Pescadero, CA. Also preceded by her brother Frank E. Weeks.
Longtime residents of Pescadero Alyce and Tony both worked for La Honda-Pescadero School District as bus drivers until they retired. They moved to Brentwood in 1994 taking many fond memories of their hometown with them. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Toni Lee Spears (Felton) of San Jose, Nancy Oliveira of Antioch and Jim Nunes (Claudia) of Brentwood. Her grandchildren: Shawn Tognetti (Athena), Paul Tognetti, Ryan Oliveira, Shannon Stokes (Marcos), Craig Nunes (Karin) and Brandon Nunes. Her great grandchildren: Dylan, Allyson, and Peyton Nunes, Jason and Bella Oliveira, Faith Nunes, and Matthew Stokes. Also survived by her sister Connie Menezes and sister-in-law Gail Weeks, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Brentwood Funeral Home 839 First Street in Brentwood, on Friday, January 12th at 11am.
