Margaret Morse Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 19, 2017.

Margaret Ann Norris was born September 20, 1932 in Wichita Falls Texas and went on to an eternal life with her Lord on December 17, 2017. Her parents were Arthur Bishop and Gladys (Bingham) Norris and she was the first of four sisters.

She married David Orrin Morse on May 29, 1965 in Wichita Falls Texas and their marriage was blessed by two sons, Gregory Arthur Morse and Michael Ray Morse. During their marriage they lived in several locations in the US as well as Germany and Spain as David's Air Force career led them. After retirement, their love for the Denver area led them to chose Northglenn as their permanent home.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband David on November 18, 2008 and sister Lenora Hays Rozenski on Jan 1, 2001. She is survived by sons Gregory and Michael and wife Tammie, sisters Linda Cobb and husband Jerry, and Kay Norris, as well as numerous beloved grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, not to mention more close and loving friends than most of us could ever hope for.

Margaret's entire life was centered around three things - her Lord, her family, and her friends. She served her Lord in many ways throughout her life. She was always active in her church and served for many years as secretary as well as in other capacities at Calvary Community Baptist Church. She was a mentor and inspiration to many of the children and youth as she helped with youth activities. Her friendly and helpful manner as well as her "don't worry, we'll find a way to get it done" attitude has endeared her to everyone who has been honored to work with her.

She served her family starting as a big sister and "mother" to her three younger sisters, then as devoted wife to David, and as mother and mentor to her immediate and extended family.

She endeared herself to her many friends through the church and those she met and worked with in all areas, Again, her friendly personality and attitude was the key. That friendship has been returned to her through many loving and helpful acts during her recent illnesses. Her family is especially grateful for that return of friendship.

Celebration of life services for Margaret will be conducted at Calvary Community Baptist Church in Northglenn Colorado Thursday December 21 with Pastor Brian Dare officiating. She will be buried with husband David at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
