Barbara Nell Jones Hotchkiss, 75, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. A private family service will be held on Thursday.
Barbara was born to Elsie Livona Jones and Andrew Jackson Jones on January 14, 1942 in Abilene. She married James Floyd Hotchkiss, Sr. on November 19, 1958. They were married until he passed away on August 29, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Norma Lee Jones and Betty Carlisle and her husband Arvin Carisle, Sr., and Lou Ann Smith and her husband Gary E. Smith.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Jones and wife Ruth; her son, James Hotchkiss, Jr. and wife Janet; daughter, Kelly D. Taylor and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Mendy Gahagan (Brent), Dustin Hotchkiss (Taylor), McKenzie Robinson and husband Kelby, twin granddaughters, Kameran and Kendall Taylor; and Nicholas "Bud" Taylor; great-grandchildren: Kanyon, Karter and Karsyn Robinson, Morgan Gahagan, and Kaiden Hotchkiss.
