Jason Ross Mallard, 48, Colorado City went to be with his Lord and Savior after fighting a long battle with Diabetes.
He was born on December 9, 1969 to Harvey Ross Mallard and Marie Boyd in Loraine Texas.
Jason was a very humble man who loved his God and his family with all his heart. He believed in living life in a simple manner, making sure to work hard and to be courteous to others at all times. He was the best oldest son a parent could have, making sure to watch over his siblings as they were growing up and to teach them things that he learned along the way. After they grew Jason learned what it was to be an uncle making sure to spoil his niece every chance he got. Jason was an outdoorsman at heart, he loved working outside building things and gardening. He especially loved taking care of flowers and was known for his green thumb. He was also a very smart man, he could quote many verses from the Bible, made sure to keep up on his news by reading the Abilene paper every day up until he lost his ability to do so. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jason is survived by his mother Marie Boyd of Colorado City, by his sister Patsy Mallard of Colorado City, his brother Mark Mallard and wife Sorsha and their daughter Hallie Genae Mallard of Cape Coral Florida, and by a close family friend Annette Rivera, as well as by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service for Jason will be held at the Loraine Cemetery on Thursday, December 21st at 2pm with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating.
