a few words for my life long (63 yrs.) friend. wayne and i became friends in 1954. wayne's personality was always out going with a goodness. he was a very good person. everyone loved wayne. wayne called me every christmas time and we would gossip like two old women. reminisce of old times and catch up with the news. i will miss our conversations. he was a big part of the cement that kept our hillside court brotherhood together. r.i.p. wayne-i loved you. george kern, waynesboro, va

I will always remember Wayne for his ever cheerful demeanor and contagious smile. He was friendly with everyone and had a wonderful sense of humor. He often spoke fondly of Roy Rogers and I thought how perfect that was for Wayne. He embodied those same morals that Roy Rogers displayed to our country - honesty, loyalty, and respect for all. Wayne will be missed by everyone who knew him. Happy Trails, my Friend.
