COLUMBIA – Margaret Rapann Gray Greiner, age 89, died Thursday, December 21, 2017. Affectionately known to her friends and family as “Pan,” was born April 21, 1928 in Port Jervis, New York to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Gray.

Rapann is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond Richard Greiner. She is also survived by her children, Colleen O’Neal of Andover, Mass., Mark Greiner (Karen) of Columbia, Kristen Betts (Jim) of Atlanta, Kimberly Spivey (Andy) of Columbia, Laurie Jaccard (Scott) of Hilton Head Island; brother, William Gray (Judy) of Port Jervis, brother-in-law, Edward Polanis of Port Jervis; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

After moving to Columbia to be closer to her family, she became a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pan was a fabulous artist who loved to share her wide array of art with family and friends. She was an avid fan of Gamecock basketball and baseball sports teams. Pan will be remembered as a fun-loving, patriotic, and generous woman who will be missed by so many.

It's never easy to lose the ones we love. With, Rapann, it's even harder. As the sorrow of today turns into the loving memories of tomorrow, may God grant all of you the peace that passes all understanding.
