Barbara Johnson Neville, 76, passed away surrounded by loving family Saturday, December 23, 2017.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3920 Baylor Street with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O'Henry Boulevard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Barbara was born July 2, 1941, in Guilford County, NC, daughter to the late George and Artis Johnson. She was a graduate of Rankin High School and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she played the piano for 40 years. She retired as a secretary from Guilford County Schools.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neville was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Fay Johnson, Ann Stevens and Lois Stanley. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Don Neville of the home; sons, Donnie Neville and wife, Tammy of Gibsonville, Michael Neville and wife, Tiffany of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Brandi Neville and boyfriend, Josh Truitt, Noah Wayne, Elijah Neville, Faith Neville, Christian Neville and great grandchildren, Lillian Truitt, Corey Truitt and Joshua Truitt, Jr. Also surviving is her loving church family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3920 Baylor Street, Greensboro, NC 27405.
Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel is assisting the Neville family with arrangements.

It is getting a little easier being without you, I miss you so very much. You always wanted me to be around you, always had time for me. I really am missing you right now. I know if you were here now you would be beside yourself with how many grandbabies and great grandbabies you have. The would all be just as spoiled as I was. I love you so much.

Barbara was a special lady, I feel like I have known her my whole life, she taught me in VBS when I was small, I remember helping when Donnie was in VBS, the youth use to come to y'alls house, I loved to watch her play the piano. Don you have taken care of her like no iother over the years of her being sick. She is now healed and in the presence of The Almighty, may God give you and all the family peace and comfort.
