George Albert Norris
was born on April 9, 1925 to the late George W and Arkatie Daniels Norris. He went to be with Jesus, surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 24, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Hildegard Uhl Norris, his son, Frank Detlef Norris, Sr, brothers: Willie, Jesse, Earl L (Shorty), Elbert W (Cooter), Robert, Carlton, and Lawrence. Sisters: Lena Denning, Pearl Jackson, Meril Dorman and Dale Norris.
He is survived by his grandchildren Leola (Lea) Ottinger of Graham, NC, Frank D Norris, Jr and wife, Debbie of Hanover, PA, great grandchildren Jaely Ottinger, Gabrielle Norris, Adam Norris, daughter-in-law, Sally Norris and many nephews and nieces. He was a member of Long Branch PFWB Church. He was in the US Army for 20 years serving in WW2, Korean War and Vietnam
His Funeral Service will be Thursday December 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Long Branch PFWB Church, Dunn, NC with Rev. Phil Newton and Rev. Elvin Butts officiating. Burial will follow in the Devotional Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome however in lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Long Branch PFWB Church, 1013 Long Branch Road, Dunn, NC 28334
