Berylene Turner Newman went home to our Lord and Savior on Dec. 25, 2017.
Service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 at First Baptist Church in Evant.
She was born in Mills County, May 7, 1933 to Beryle Audrey Turner and Lillian Oneta Traylor.
She moved and attended several schools as her parents were school teachers.
She met and married John Lloyd Newman on March 9, 1950 in Doole, Texas.
On Aug. 25, 1951, a daughter, Christy Annett was born to this union. They began
their life together as growing kids. John and Berylene were only 18. On Oct. 22, 1955,
a son, John Lloyd Jr. was born. Berylene was a "stay at home Mom" caring for her husband,
kids, and all the livestock while John worked at Rocketdyne in McGregor, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her daughter, Christy Forrest and spouse, Doug of Evant; son, John Newman Jr. and spouse, Kim of Brady; grandchildren, Clabe Forrest and spouse, Brandie of Evant; Greyson Forrest, and Jacob Forrest, both of Evant; Amy Burttschell and spouse, Jimmy of San Angelo; and Kristen Newman of McGregor; and great-grandson,
Caystin Forrest of Evant.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Loved caring for Berylene. She was a very special lady with the sweetest smile. She always looked her best before coming out of her room. Would have loved to see more of her drawing and paintings. She was also very talented.
