Ufrasia Perez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 26, 2017.

On December 23, 2017, Amelia Perez left this life and entered eternal life with her Lord Jesus Christ to be reunited with her beloved husband, Luz; her sons, Valdomero, Jesse Del La Luz, Randall, Mario and James Edward Perez; and her infant daughter, Linda Perez.

Amelia was born on March 13, 1930 in Bastrop to Albert and Antonia (Martinez) Herrera.

She married Luz on August 13, 1955 and their lives were blessed with 16 children. They raised their children in the home that Luz built full of love and strength. Amelia was a humble, courageous woman of faith, even to her last day. Her heart was full of joy when her house was filled with her kids. She enjoyed going to "the bingo" with her daughters and watching The Price is Right. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Della Ybarra and husband Joe of Burnet, Feliz Maldonado and husband Roy of Gordonville, Irene Perez of Georgetown, Juanita Perez of New Summerfield, Lupe Perez Arredondo and husband Joel of Taylor, Randy Perez and wife Tammy of Liberty Hill, Julian Perez and wife Annette of Hutto, Jose Del La Luz (Joey) Perez and wife Gloria of Georgetown; Sally Reyes and husband Luis of Victoria, and Dora Perez Flores and husband Juan of Liberty Hill. She is also survived by her sister, Pauline Reynaga and brother, Peter Herrera; 44 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with Amelia's family will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. She will be laid to rest at Santa Maria Cemetery in Andice, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be her grandsons John Flores, Zachary Perez, Anthony Perez, Albert Reyes, EJ Martinez, Joel Arredondo Jr., Jesse Reyes and great-grandson, Joseph Hernandez.

"A collection of all your memories and precious times enjoyed together, are what will remain with us forever."
