I was sorry to read of Charlie's passing. I remember him from our grade school time all through St. Cyril's. Later when I had visited MaryAnn and Jim in Colorado or would see Paula in the park years ago; I would ask how he was which always seemed positive . My deepest sympathy to all of you.

To All Of The Wharton Family
My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to each & everyone of U, not only for today, but for tomorrow and in all the days to come...Do not know how much more a family can endure losing two beloved family members in such a short time! Enough is enough....tough times do not last but tough people do...I understand the feeling of loss and have reached my own 'quota' for burying my loved ones over the years.
I do not have any profound things to say that would make you feel better or heal your pain, except to share with you, the pain you are feeling will slowly diminish in time but the love and memories never will, find comfort in that....
There is no right way or wrong way to go thru this grief process, only time can heal the heart...
So very sorry I was unable to pay my last respects that day, I was on my way over when I became very ill, am sorry to say...
I have placed all of the Wharton family on my prayer list, let this be the last of your heart aches and suffering.

I was sad to read that your brother Charles has died. He and I were in the same graduating class at Binghamton Central High School.
I know you from my days as a radiologist at Wilson Hospital (1993 to 1998). I had no idea that you and Charles were siblings. What a small world!!!

it was great living next door to the whartons growing up with our friends neal clark and marty crowe we spent our days outside depending on the season playing whiffle ball or football and charlie was always in the middle of the games charlie was a little younger but he fit right in

Charlie - Charlie my good good friend! The memories I have of growing up with you and then of growing old together will always be etched in my mind. All the mischievous things we did as kids and then all the things we did together with Jean and Cheryl, the trip to Fiddlers Convention in Union Grove NC seems to stand out as do many many others. It was difficult for us to see you gradually get weaker has the days wore on, but you handled it with dignity, always thinking of your family and how they will cope. This was a true testament to who you really were. I'm gonna miss you my friend as we all will. If there is one thing I've learned, is that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel and you made us all feel special in your own way. Rest in Peace my friend!! God Bless You and all your family. Love Mark and Cheryl.
