A. Sue Juett passed away on December 26, 2017, at the age of 75 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Sue was born on April 2, 1942 in Georgetown, Kentucky, to Calvin Gillispie Juett and Zorelda Hudson Cooke. She attended Georgetown High School and Georgetown College.
Sue had a successful career in education administration working in Public Relations at Georgetown College, as Secretary to the Business Officer of the Kentucky Community College System at the University of Kentucky, and as manager of the Book Cellar at Jefferson Community College.
Sue retired from education and started a new path in the funeral industry. This included working in multiple roles at Arch L. Heady, Heady Cralle, and Advantage Funeral Homes. Sue obtained a Funeral Director's License.
Sue was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and received her 50-year pin from OES 115 in Georgetown. She was also a member of OES 319 in Middletown, KY.
Sue studied music under Daniel Tilford while in Georgetown which fueled a lifelong love of music. She served as an organist and/or choir director at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Davidson Memorial United Methodist in Shepherdsville, and in Louisville at Kenwood Heights Christian Church, Zion United Church of Christ, St. Stephen United Church of Christ, and Highlands United Methodist Church. Sue was passionate about her church families and inspired others through her love of music. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all that knew her.
Sue is survived by her brother, J.C. Juett and his wife Darlene, nieces, Lauri Martin (Robert) and Sheri Nilsson (Michael), as well as two great nephews, Jace and Brock Martin and two great nieces, Grace and Olivia Nilsson.
A musical celebration of life will be held at Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, 201 S. Peterson Ave., Louisville, KY on Friday, December 29 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held prior to service at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Crescent Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund, 201 S. Peterson Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206.

I was so sorry to hear about Sue's passing. My sister and I visited her every month at the Eastern Star Home. When we found out she was in the hospital, we visited her there. It was always enjoyable visiting Sue. She loved making things and being involved in activities.

I was so saddened to hear of Sue's passing. I got to know her while she lived at Eastern Star Home where I work. Sue was very special to me and I loved her. She will be missed by all of us here at ESH.
