Michael John McQuaid, 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Virginia Beach. He was born in Massachusetts to the late John and Cecelia McQuaid. He was survived by the love of his life, his loving wife, Betty McQuaid; son, Michael J. Webb and his wife, Lisa; grandson, Christopher Smith; great granddaughters, Evelyn and Kaitlyn Smith and a niece, Tracy Morris. Michael had a witty and vivacious personality and loved life. He retired from the navy and later worked dealing with property management. He loved cheering people up and playing Santa Claus during the Christmas holiday season.
There will be a memorial service at 11am, Saturday at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. There will be a burial at sea at a later date. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.

I've known Michael for many years and always thought he should've been a Stand-Up comedian. It was such fun just being in his presence and he always made you laugh. He and Betty were a perfect match. When sadness grips our hearts, we can only remember how lucky we have been to have such a great person in our lives.
