Robert Anthony Tubb was born on May 2, 1958 in Galveston, TX and passed away at the age of 59 on Tuesday December 26, 2017 in Houston, TX.
Robert was a much-loved son, father, and brother.
Robert cherished his son Scott and they remained close until his death. He also had a strong love for family and friends. Many of his friends dated back to his childhood in Houston before he moved and became a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. With a love for fishing, Robert became a commercial fisherman for more than 40 years of his life.
He loved the Gulf and would often compare a sunset he saw over the water to one he had seen that day or the week before.
Robert considered Dawn Bradley, who he spent 19 years with, to be the love of his life. He also credited her with saving his life when he was too hard headed to go to the hospital or doctor. Another love of his were the dogs he had over the years. Shortly after losing Rambo and saying he would never get another dog, he fell in love with a miniature daschund he called MeMe that he cherished until his death.
His family and friends, and his mother will miss Robert in particular whom he called almost every day.
He is survived by his mother, Maretta Tubb; son, Scott Wesley Tubb; brother, James Tubb; nephew, Jason Tubb; niece, Carrie Thornton; aunts, Betty Birmingham and Tommie Duncan, uncle, Don Duncan Tommy Tubb and Richard Tubb; cousins, Allen Birmingham, Linda Mapp, Debra Birmingham, Debra Edge O'Neil, Dana Self, and Mike Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Tubb; grandmother, Gladys Thompson and uncle, Preston Birmingham.

Robert was much loved by many. I will miss him and think of him always on the water or in his garden. He was always a hard worker and busy with something. He was a part of this family for many years. My deepest sympathy for Rita and all of his friends and family.
