Connie, I just learned of John's passing. So sorry for your family. John was one of the good ones. I remember well the times we all spent together as young geologists in Dallas and all the restaurants we frequented every Friday night. Also the good times we had in your home on Earls Alley. Please know that we will keep you and you family in our thoughts and prayers.

John was a wonderful person and a great friend, we drove together to every away soccer game our sons played in at Glenbard West. We shared the same political views, the same conservation views, the same family views. We were both only children, both Irish, both had the gift of gab. I will miss him greatly but I know you are at peace and I'm happy for you, it's just hard for those of left behind. Your memory will live on, you can count on that!

Connie, although we have never met, please accept my condolences on John's passing. Rick Hyman called me on Friday to inform me of your loss. Although I had not seen John in many years we caught up with each other at the 2009 reunion at Rick's place in Frankfort. I still have the photo of John, Rick, Dann and myself from that evening. He was still the same mello guy I remembered from growing up in Dolton where his mother was our Cub Scout Den Mother and I remember our cub scout meetings at their house. We also spent many rainy afternoons playing at his house or mine.
Rest In Peace John.

Connie, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss. John was like a big brother to me-- probably since he and Dann were together ALL the time when I was little on Hastings Drive. It meant so much to me when he showed me at Meredith's wedding that he still carried the business card I made him 20+ years ago. But that was the kind of man he was-- kind, generous, big-hearted. Bill and I are so sorry for your loss (and for Dann's loss ... his best friend since childhood).
