We always enjoyed being around Leroy he was such a nice person and he loved the Lord. I think just about everyone in Madison Heights knew Leroy because of his work with the youth in baseball. He was a dedicated worker for God's house in attendance and working on it. We pray for the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Leroy at Lynchburg Foundry for many years before the pipe group went to Griffin. I use to type the ball schedules for Leroy back in the 60's. Thought the world of him and I know he will be missed.

I was very sorry to learn of the death of Leroy. He was a legend with his dedicated work to youth baseball. He managed the Monroe team in the Amherst County league when I was playing for Temperance and he always had a fine team. His work with Youth Baseball puts him at the very top. RIP my friend.

The World of Dixie Youth Baseball lost a great man! I have known Mr. Floyd since I was a small child playing dixie ball in Rustburg. I always looked forward to seeing him at the All-Star tournaments as a player and a coach. Most recently, seeing him the past few years at our Opening Ceremonies for Rustburg Dixie Youth Baseball. His love for the kids and the game of baseball was always evident. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
