Mrs. Louise Roedler, age 91, passed away Friday, December 28, 2017 in McGregor, Texas. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Oglesby with Reverend Carol Hambrick officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.
Louise was born December 30, 1925 to Robert Clyde and Willie (York) Gilliam in Navarro County, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Oglesby and a member of First Baptist Church. Louise married the love of her life, Lloyd Lafate Roedler February 7, 1953, and they celebrated 44 years together. Louise worked as a factory worker at Smeed Manufacturing in McGregor and retired in 1992. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lafate Roedler; daughter, Rhonda Yeager; parents, and 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors include her sons, David Roedler and wife, Brenda of Oglesby, and Carl Roedler and wife, Sheila of Oglesby; daughter, Gina Allred and husband, Paul of Lorena; grandchildren: Lindsey White, Brandon Roedler, Brittany Asbury, Dustin Roedler, Tyler Roedler, Nikita Roedler, Gerrick Allred and Colton Allred;
8 great-grandchildren; sister, Carrie Key of Oglesby, and a very special friend, Margie Balderas.
The family has suggested First Baptist Church of Oglesby or Westview Manor Nursing Home for memorial contributions.

I love my cousin, Louise, and will always appreciate the fact that she and her sister, Inez, kept an eye on my parents when they got older. Louise is now with Jesus and her loved ones who were already with Him. She will be welcoming the rest of us with her sweet smile and open arms someday.
