William "Bill" Schindlbeck, aged 76, passed away on December 27th, 2017. He is survived by his wife Antoinette, his children Michael Klein, Joseph Klein (Nancy), Anne Marie Bruner (Eric), Lisa Stoutenburg (Keith), Rose Hacker (Greg), Joanne Lacock (Simon), Felicity Barrett (Sean), Patrick Klein (Kimberly), his siblings Joanne M. Bongard (Jerome-deceased), Dr. R. James Schindlbeck (Renee), Patricia S. Noerr (Robert), his 23 grandchildren Oscar Luke, Nicholas (deceased), Taylor, Jacob, David, Tristan, Hannah, Connor, Isabella, Jordan, Jonah, Abigail, Tessa, Felicity, Trevor, Benjamin, Michael, Emma, Kyla, Henry, Elijah, Isaac, John, and Olivia, his nieces and nephews Kathleen M. (Bongard) Bensing (Thomas), Michael J. Bongard, Dr. James P. Schindlbeck (Jamie), Dr. Matthew J. Schindlbeck (Teresa), Joseph Noerr, and his great nieces and great nephews Sawyer, Samantha, Liam, Emma, Colton, and Madison.
Bill was born to parents Jacob and Maybelle Schindlbeck on September 14th, 1941 in Aurora, Illinois. He attended Holy Angels Elementary School and Marmion Military Academy for high school where he graduated in 1954. Bill went on to attend Notre Dame University, receiving his B.S. in 1963 and an E.E. degree in 1964. He also earned an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.
Bill enlisted in the United States Army in 1967. He served his country for 34 years and had a special assignment in Korea. He also worked at AT&T, Motorola, North American Philips, Simmons Bishop, World Famous Realty, Charles Schwab, and worked as a stockbroker.
In his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering for religious education at SS. Simon and Jude Cathedral where his wife, children and grandchildren attended school. He touched many lives throughout his years of involvement in the RCIA program.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 5pm at Chapel of the Chimes, and a rosary in his honor will begin at 6:30pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4th at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

ROGER BORECKY
I served will Bill for many summers at 6th ITAAS as a fellow instructor and when he was the Command Sergeant Major of the school. He was a good friend who is missed by those who knew him.
May God bless you in your time of sorrow. May God grant him eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon him

I served with Bill in US Army Reserves in Phoenix/He was a good soldier and friend also/He sold me my first IRA back in the l980s when he was a stock broker/ I still have that IRA and it has done well/ thanks again Bill God Bless doug gray,cw4,USA,ret
