My condolences to the family of Mary. Mary made me feel welcome at the church, Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She was a kind, generous lady and very hospital. She made me laugh quite a bit. She gave to me a slow cooker which I enjoy very much. She said that she prepared quite a bit of meals in this pot. I enjoy using this pot and I think of her when I use it. Family was important to her. God be with you during this time of sorrow.

Since 55 years I know Mary. A great lady who loves the Lord, she swerved all her family with good heart, she used to knitting, and we learned a lot from her. Till now I have the Christmas decoration in beeds from her - No words can describe her, just a loving and a helpful person. Going to miss her, and we know she is in better place meeting her parents and her brothers and a sister. Love from me and her cousin (my husband) George

I always enjoyed seeing Marie and visiting with her at the Sabbagh family gatherings. She always had kind words to say to my daughters and I. She will be missed. Rest in peace, Marie.

I grew up in Lebanon with Ame Mary around. She was always so giving, loving, and encouraging in every way. When she moved to Arizona, and my husband, two small children, and I moved to the US, she made a trip to see us along with Amo Hanna. They loved my boys like they were their own. That was so typical of these two loving people. She will forever be in my heart and thoughts. I am so grateful God put her in my life.

The last of the Touma and Raheel Bassous children has passed away, reminding us of the rich history and challenges this family encountered, including the many blessings. Umto Marie was everybody's auntie, serving her brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, cousins, second-cousins ... a lifetime of selfless service. We join you in spirit in honoring her life. We offer our deepest condolences and ask the Holy Spirit to engulf our family with His comfort.

A few months ago I was going through a box of my son's, (Umto Mary's great great nephew), and I found a picture frame Umto had made; it was a light blue balloon with tiny pearls beaded around the edge. It immediately brought back memories of watching her nimble fingers stitch yarn intricately into whatever shape and pattern she wanted. Her sweet tokens of craftsmanship are a reminder of Umto's creativity.
