Mr. Joseph Wendell Bailey, Jr., age 87, of McDonough, GA passed away January 1, 2018. Mr. Bailey was born in Colleton County, SC the son of the late Eunice Hudson Bailey and Joseph Wendell Bailey Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Williams Bailey.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, yard work, gardening and fishing. Survivors are his sons and daughter-in-law, Wendell Bailey of McDonough, Joe Bailey of Buckhead and Bill and Susan Bailey of McDonough; grandchildren, Brandon and Callie Bailey of Monroe, Jake Bailey of Buckhead, Mitchell Bailey of McDonough and Dustin Bailey of Buckhead; step grandchildren, Kathryn Reed of McDonough, Michaela and Dalton Walker of Gainesville, and Wesley Reed of McDonough; sister, Ramona Musselwhite and husband Tim of Cumming; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Riley officiating.
