Ralph P. Vickers, 91, entered into rest December 27, 2017. He was born on January 30, 1926, to Thomas Lawson and Cora Fowler Vickers in Hanover, AL.
Ralph made a career in the concrete manufacturing industry. He fixed the problems others created. He continued to live independently and was even driving just 6 months ago. He visited his local McDonalds at least once a day, first for his regular sausage biscuit and coffee, and later for his lunch time hamburger. He loved to go fishing in the Coosa River and Wynn Creek, mostly because he went with his brothers.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Bailey Vickers; daughters Kathy Gower and Judy Vickers; great-grandson Jaxson Scifres; four sisters; and 2 brothers.
He was survived by his son Randy Vickers; brother Lonnie Vickers; granddaughters Kristina Gower and Melissa Vickers Scifres (Justin); grandsons Joshua Vickers (Heather) and Matthew Vickers; great-granddaughters Pamela Workman, Trinity Vickers and Fiona Scifres; and great-grandson Jase Vickers.
A visitation for Ralph will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 5, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home, Followed by an interment will occur at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas.
