Paint Rock, TX Pensacola, FL
It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Sandra Jenkins, 83, informs you of the passing of their mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Braswell; her mother, Grace Ellen Tipton; her father, Jerome C. West; a sister, Karen Kennedy and second husband Duffie Jenkins.
She is survived by her three children: Alisa C. "Cammie" (Mike) Belue of Mobile, Alabama, Jeffrey A. (Mary) Braswell, Sr. and Kelly L. (Donna) Braswell, both of Pensacola, Florida. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 29 great and great-great grandchildren.
Sandra was a very genteel and dignified lady. She was also very caring and loving. She loved working outdoors in her yard and flower gardens. She could not go out without finding a weed and would just have to pull it up. She was generous to a fault and everyone who met her, loved her.
Sandra was a very devout Christian. Before coming to Pensacola, she was a member of Vancleave Baptist Church in Vancleave, Mississippi. While there, she was also a member of the Ladies' WMU. After coming to Pensacola, she became a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
She was an incredible woman and mother. She especially loved when she had all of her family together for holidays, any special occasion or for simply no reason at all. Family meant everything to her.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 Nine Mile Road, Pensacola. Jim is a very close and dear friend of the family and Mom would always refer to him as "her 3rd son."
"Mom"
Your illness is gone,
And so is your pain,
Although we'll all miss you
We'll see you again.
We know you're with Daddy,
Your wait wasn't in vain,
Because he's been waiting
To see you again.
You no longer need worry,
We'll all be okay,
Now it's our turn to wait
Till we see you again.
