Glenda Faye Carr, 71, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Iowa Park, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the funeral home. The family will gather at the funeral home at 12:15 on Monday to follow in procession to Fort Sill National Cemetery.
Glenda was born February 12, 1946 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Charlie and Virginia (Ritchie) Love. She was raised in Chico, Texas where she met the love of her life, John W. Carr. They married on December 18, 1964 in Weatherford, Texas. Glenda loved crafts, especially crocheting and enjoyed camping. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Glenda is preceded in death by parents and all seven of her siblings.
Surviving relatives include her husband, John W. Carr, Sr.; son, John W. Carr, Jr. and wife, Heather; son, Michael W. Carr and wife, Peggy; daughter, Connie F. Trotter and husband, Paul; three grandchildren, Mindy, Mikayla, and Ashlyn Carr; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Friendly Door Senior Citizens of Iowa Park, Texas.
