Mr. Reece Miller, 75, of Greensboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his home.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at South Elm St. Baptist Church in Greensboro, with Rev. Lawrence Clapp officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the memorial service from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm.
Born in Mitchell County, NC on August 5, 1942 to the late Hobert and Anna Mae Miller, Reece was a member of South Elm St. Baptist Church. He was truck driver for many years and a retired Teamster. He loved to garden and enjoyed NASCAR racing. Reece was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and most affectionately known as "Papaw". He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Reece was preceded in death by a brother, H.D. Miller and sister-in-law, Carrie Miller.
Those left to cherish his memory include his adoring wife of 52 years, Kay Andrews Miller of the home; sons, Reece Allan Miller (Liz Craine) of Penhook, VA, Brent Miller (Crystal) of Asheville, NC, and Eric Miller (Jaimie) of Whitsett, NC; brothers, Ray Miller (Linda) of Asheville, NC and Harry Royce (Nancy) of Green Mountain, NC; his grandchildren, Olivia Grace Miller, Alayna Kay Miller, Carsen Monroe Miller, and Chase Landen Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.

Kay, Reece Allan, Brent and Eric. I am so sorry for the loss of Reece. I have great memories of Reece when he would visit Hobert and Mae. I always loved this family and you all are in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time. This dreadful disease is taking many of our loved ones and I know what you all went through.
