Joyce Henly, 75, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Visitation will be today from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Memories at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in The Chapel of Memories, 6969 I-40 East, with Pastor Bob Attaway officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Joyce was born in Torrance, California on December 1, 1942 to Curtis and Imogene Hefner. Joyce grew up in Plainview and moved to Amarillo in 1956, where she attended Amarillo High School. Joyce married Jimmy Henly on November 7, 1958 in Clovis, New Mexico. Joyce was a very private and selfless person who was loved by all. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. her hobbies included crocheting, visiting casinos, cooking and gardening. Joyce was known by all as "MiMi" and will be dearly missed. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Survivors include husband, Jimmy Henly; son, Jerry Wayne Henly and wife Omeria; daughter, Beverly Ann Henly; brother, Robert Dale Hefner and wife Sandi; brother-in-law, Bill Henly and wife Lisa; two sisters, Linda Mae Ripley, Vivian Kabetzke and husband Alvin; four grandchildren, Travis Henly, Ticia Henly, Damon Deatherage and Shya Richardson; six great-grandchildren with another one due in February.
