Dear Don and Melissa, You may not remember us, but we were the couple who met you at one of the dinners held at Willowbrook RRC. We family members were all seated at the same table in the small room adjacent to the residents' dining room. My parents, the Matlocks, still reside at the same residence. My father lived on the left side, far end of your mother's hallway before they both transferred to skilled nursing in July. He used a walker and had silver hair. Your mother was such a sweet, kind, and gentle soul. How you described her in her tribute was so interesting, and exactly as I would have imagined her to be. I only wish I had gotten to know her better, other than a hello in the hallway. She lived a good, full life. You should be proud of her and yourselves. Children have a lot to do with their parents' longevity if they get to be the ages our parents accomplished. I extend my deepest condolences, because it is hard to go through with this, no matter when it happens. May peace and good memories be with you.
