Elizabeth Stephens Obituary

Elizabeth Faye Hopper Stephens, 88, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017. She was born Dec. 11, 1929 to the late Arvin and Martha E. Givens Hopper. Fay was a graduate of Atherton High School, and University of Louisville. She was a retired teacher with the Jefferson Co. School System., a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Society, Jefferson Co. retired Teachers, KY retired Teachers, and a long time member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stephens; and sisters, Ragena and Margaret Mae.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie A. Stephens; niece, Gayle Lyle; nephew, Scott Curtis.
Services to celebrate Fay's life will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at 1:00 pm, in the chapel of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Ave., with private burial at Cave Hill.
Expressions of Sympathy are requested to her church memorial fund.
